Providing expert witness service to the legal profession, both plaintiff and defense, in matters relating to insurance coverage issues, good faith/bad faith claims handling, industry practices, damage valuations and subrogation. I have over 30 years experience as a salvor, independent insurance adjuster and educator in adjusting. I am recognized as an honest, objective and impartial individual and have been appointed as an umpire over 70 times in the last six years to settle disputes between insureds and insurers. I have also been engaged by Counsel more than 20 times in the last two years.

Founded the firm of J.B. Kipphut & Associates, Inc. to engage in the investigation, evaluation and adjustment of first party property insurance claims on behalf of the companies. Over twenty-nine years, I personally handled over 9,500 claims ranging from small homeowners losses to multi-million dollar commercial losses, including manufacturing losses and a specialty steel mill. I have also acted as an appraiser as well as an umpire in a number of large disputes between insurance companies and insureds. |

Partner and adjuster in the firm of William J. Miller Jr., Associates, Inc. Started as an adjuster in 1973, made a partner in the firm in 1981. Activities included adjusting homeowners and commercial losses as well as cargo and inland marine losses. Acted as both appraiser and umpire in numerous disputes between various insurance companies and insureds. Heavily involved in administrative functions and responsibilities. Actively took charge of moving the firm from Philadelphia to Plymouth Meeting, PA in 1988. |

Employed by the Underwriters Salvage Company of New York as a Superintendent of Salvage. Responsible for inventories, movement of salvage for sale and/or protection as well as the determination of loss and damage figures on stock losses. |
